Happy Independence Day! 🇵🇭 Every June 12, Filipino families celebrate Araw ng Kalayaan, or Philippine Independence Day. It is the day we remember how Filipinos declared freedom from Spanish rule in 1898. For adults, Independence Day may bring to mind history, heroes, flags, ceremonies, and national pride. But for young children, especially preschoolers, the idea of “independence” can feel too big or abstract. So how do you explain Philippine Independence Day to a 3-year-old
