What is Araw ng Kalayaan?

Araw ng Kalayaan is the Philippine Independence Day celebrated every June 12. It remembers the day in 1898 when General Emilio Aguinaldo declared that the Philippines is free from Spanish rule.

It is a time to honor our brave heroes and be proud of being Filipino!

Simple Activities to Do at Home

1. Color the Flag

Let your child color the Philippine flag and learn what the colors and symbols

Listen to Lupang Hinirang together and talk about simple Filipino words like lupa, bayan, and kalayaan.
